A New Look For Noodle....

Isn't she stunning??? Noodle got glasses today and is very excited to wear them. Hopefully, when the novelty wears off, she'll be used to wearing them and it won't bother her.

O - THE PAIN!!

I broke my toe and it hurts super bad!! As you can see, it's several different shades of blue and purple and is bigger than normal. And the pain!!! I broke my little one when I was 10 and I remember it hurting just as bad. But of course there isn't anything the doctor can do, so I gess I'll just suffer through.

Check out those colors - isn't it pretty???

Washing Machine Mishap!!

So yesterday, I went down to wash my second load of laundry and the floor was wet. I thought the washer had just had once in a while over flow or something. (It's happened before.) So I washed another load of laundry and had Bret look at it. Ya, something is definitely wrong!! It leaked all over. It leaked through the wall into the room next door. Bret just checked the next room and the carpet is pretty wet. I think it's wetter. So if it is, then it's not the washer. It's something else too. Terrific. What if it's the water spicket outside? I hope we can save the carpet - but I bet the pad is ruined. This isn't the only thing going on - when it rains it pours I guess. So I'm off to finish dinner and then to start moving stuff so we can try and save as much as possible. AND to find out for sure the leak is coming from the washer. Wish us luck.

Yard Work...

The people who lived in our house before us were retired so they spent quite a bit of time in their yard. They had many square feet of flower beds. I'm sure at one time their yard was quite beautiful. But due to medical reason, the yard was neglected and had minimal work done for about 5 years and then for 2 summers before we moved in the yard had hardly any work. One summer it was vacant and the flippers didn't water much. Anyway, we've done a lot of work. All along our back fence was irritating wild rose bushes. We (Hubs) has ripped them out. We've brought the lawn back to life and with the help of many donating starts and seeds our flower garden is looking OK. Well by the sidewalk that runs in front of our house, they had taken 2 quarter circles of grass out and had 2 very poky bushes. We took those out the first thing. Then I had some flowers there, but I always hated those 2 beds. So this year, I transplanted the flowers and we attempted to plant grass. So bad. It's a terrible location. So I finally got tired of it and bought a few pieces of sod and laid them down. OK, so these pictures aren't the best. But trust me, it looks tons better. Now I'm hoping to save the sod. It's really too hot to lay sod. But hopefully I can keep it wet enough to save it. That sod is heavy! It was more time consuming than I thought. But hopefully it will all be worth it!!

Before...

The green stuff you see growing here is

After...

Not quite the same color, yet.

Potty-Training

So it's time for Lewlew to be potty-trained. With Buddy, I was at a loss. With Noodle I was totally diligent and reminded her many times a day and she did pretty well. With poor Lewlew, I'm getting so side-tracked and forget to remind her. At this rate, she'll never be potty-trained. Does anyone have ANY suggestions? I can use any help. Not just for Lewlew, but for me too.

Sweeping

I sweep my kitchen floor everyday and my living room and hall about every other day. It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff I sweep up. Every time I sweep there is a significant amount of stuff. Does this happen to any of you? It's not that I mind sweeping all that much, I'm just surprised.

4th of July Fun!!

We had a fun weekend. We got up WAY early on Friday and went down to Provo for the balloon launch. The kids loved it. We stayed for a little while after they launched to watch some of the contests. The kids' favorite balloon was the pig balloon. Not pictured because my batteries died.

Then we went to Kneaders for Mister's mom's birthday. MMMMM It was yummy! We came home and took a nap. Then we went to Aunt Karen's annual party - a.k.a. Carterville on Fire. The kids played in the water, we ate, and then had fireworks. Jordan, Mister's cousin, had music and karaoke between fireworks. It was great. Even Great-Grandma Tuttle got up and danced. Noodle sang for karaoke. On the way home, Noodle and Lewlew fell asleep.

On Saturday, Mister went to the cabin with his dad and others to work for a few hours. Then we went to our nieces' baptism. Then we went up the canyon and had a picnic for Mister's dad's birthday. It was quite a busy weekend, but it was fun too!

Vacation

We got back from our family vacation on Jun 29th. I know, I'm a little behind in blogging. Along with Hubs's family, we spent 3 days in Disneyland and California Adventure, 1 day in Universal Studios and 1 day at Sea World and a couple hours at the beach. All in all we were gone 9 days. We spent the night both going and coming in Las Vegas. We had SO much fun. It wasn't terribly hot - of course Las Vegas was scorching!! I was so neat to see Noodle meet the princesses. She was quite impressed. Lewlew like them too, but her and Buddy also got to meet Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore while Noodle and I went on Splash mountain. We also got to meet Curious George. Avire liked that. Buddy had fun feeding the ducks and Lewle napped while we rode Tower of Terror. Noodle liked some of the scarier rides while Buddy didn't want to do much with them. We did get him to ride River Rapids ride and Jurassic Park ride. Sea World was amazing. It was the first time I'd had ever been there and a LONG time since anyone else had been. Buddy LOVED it - I think better than Disneyland. He now wants to be a whale trainer when he grows up. We enjoyed a couple hours at the beach. Buddy LOVED it and playing in the waves, Noodle liked it at first but then got irritated at the waves coming in all the time and Lewlew didn't like the sand. It was a long trip, but so fun! We want to go back to San Diego and do Sea World again, Legoland, the zoo and the beach. So we're planning that trip in a couple of years. Here are some pics that we took, I also have some we bought from some of the rides. I'll try and scan them in and post them later....
